The relevance of ESG and impact investing screens varies by person. One issue, however, stands apart – climate change. There may be personal differences about causation, severity, and mitigation. There is such growing concern, however, that thirteen U.S. government agencies collaborated, based on a congressional mandate, to report on climate change and its impact on our economy, local communities, health, water quality and quantity, food and agriculture, defense, infrastructure, etc. That report is credible, thorough, and cautionary. It is the Fourth National Climate Assessment Volume I & II, produced by the U.S. Global Change Research Program.

The 13 government agencies shown here participate in the study.
